Again With The Snow

It’s done.

Cami - Done!

I’m pretty glad to get this out of the queue, it means I get to focus on knitting the Road to Golden Teal and Grey v2., which is already past the sleeve join. In fact, if I get enough knitting time tonight and tomorrow, that may be done soon as well.

My thoughts on the cami are a bit mixed. I think it will fit me when I lose the weight I gained this winter. For the record, I have been doing some yoga, so it is possible. I do like the yarn I chose, a fun cotton/elastic blend from Elann whose name escapes me at the moment. However, this pattern is a bit weird and vague. There is such a small amount of detail it’s closer to an “idea” for a top than a “pattern”. I guess it doesn’t have enough finishing to make it seem complete. I altered my version a lot, and am happy with it, but was looking for something simple and mindless when I chose this top, not something I would have to make up on my own as I went along.

I have also started a second Gretel hat, as a friend liked the first one I did a lot and we both felt she should have one of her own.

Michelles Hat

This is out of my favourite worsted weight merino workhorse, Patons Classic. Love this yarn, so very much.

And, a new scarf. I needed more scarves as all I seem to have is one good one and a lot of neck cosies.

Swiss Cheese Scarf

This is the Swiss Cheese Scarf. The actual knitting seems to take a while due to all the binding off and casting on, but the holes really make what you’ve knitted stretch out. I am using Malabrigo lace, so it will also be extremely soft and squishy! Mmmm. Malabrigo.

I should get a bit of knitting done tonight on the sweater. Due to the storm New England is getting right now I am working from home, so no commute today!
