And Here I Was Getting All Excited

Knitting frustrations are made worse when you think that you’re nearing the finish line on a project.

Wicked Sweater

I am so close to finishing the Wicked sweater, if you don’t count the sleeves or HAVING TO FROG THE BOTTOM BORDER. It could be that it was seed stitch, which really just isn’t a good border stitch (Yes, I kinda was thinking about that as I was knitting it, but the pics I’ve seen of other people’s Wicked’s didn’t seem like they had an issue. I have to remember to not trust other people’s knitting), or it could be that I knit wonky or loose (which considering I normally knit like I am holding on for dear life doesn’t really seem likely) or it could be that the knitting overlords though this project was going far too easily.

Whatever the case, I have a wonky border and will be ripping it back and knitting something else instead of the seed stitch. I just don’t know what yet.

Border

UGH!

On better news, Dan and I took a drive up the seacoast today because he had the day off and I don’t start the new job until next Monday. It was SO HOT that it bordered insane. We had a wonderful day of shopping and strolling and driving. The best part is that because I actually went somewhere, my sock knitting has a bit of progress to show.

Grey Cabled Socks

Not bad, eh? Soon my pretties, soon.
