At Least Some Things Are Working Out.

Ummm. The Selbu Mittens.

I had to rip the selbu gloves. They were just not working out in that yarn. For mittens I think it would have been okay, but the fingers of gloves were too finicky for the yarn and it’s lack of suitability for colour work.

I did find a better yarn for the bubble pullover, I am working with Cascade Eco Wool. I love wool that feels like wool, hearty and scrunchy.

And I’ve also been working on the scarf. The endless, boring, monotonous scarf. One day it will be finished. The only good thing about it (besides the fact that I know it’s going to be AWESOME when it’s done) is that I have started the second ball of yarn. That means I am half done, yay! In this picture you can see my little travel sack I use for my knitting. It’s a Sephora bag. God I love Sephora.

So I joined a gym, and because of that I am home kinda later every night. I hope to work out a way to update more frequently than just on the weekends. The yoga and pilates offerings are great, so I hope to get in shape in the next couple months. What are the chances that I will feel comfortable wearing a bikini this summer?

Wow, the bubble pullover looks interesting so far (I mean that in a good way). The yarn is knitting up really nicely.
I know what you mean about boring monotonous scarves. But yours looks really great so it’ll be worth it.
And congrats on the gym membership. Starting’s the hardest part.

Whoa - you are so brave to rip it like that! =) I would have debated about it forever just because I hate ripping anything out, but now at least you can make some room for something that works with that yarn! =)
