Getting Nowhere S l o w l y
I feel like it’s taking forever for nothing to happen. There has not been a lot of knitting as my Mad Color Weave socks had to be ripped because they were too small. It was a sad day; there were tears and lots of blame was cast around the knitting group on Sunday when the truth was forced upon me. Honestly, if I am knitting something and am in complete and utter denial about the size it is probably best when there is an intervention to stop me from continuing. I do appreciate it, but it doesn’t make the sting go away. Especially when that sting is delivered in the middle of a crowded Panera by your closest knitting buddies. Maybe it wouldn’t have been so bad if I hadn’t tried to prove that the sock would fit by taking off my shoes and trying to yank it on. Oh well, at the very least maybe we will be less crowded in future knitting groups as people start to avoid sitting by us.
Here is the new sock, which is the largest size in the pattern, but only the second largest size in the cuff. The should fit now, girls. No more interventions needed! (If you tell me they are now too big there may be violence).
I’ve also been trying to spin up all that “Warmed” merino roving that I am not having a fun time with. It is dragging on. I don’t think its ever taken me this long to spin anything before. I know it will be really cute when it’s plied, and the colours are really great, but the time investment isn’t feeling like it’s worth it to me right now. This is what I have left, maybe 1.5 oz. or so.
And just because he was being so damn cute today and it’s been a long time since I posted the blog mascot, here is Nibbler doing what he does best, nibbling!
Ahead is a weekend of food and festivities, I hope everyone is thankful for something! I know my “real” Thanksgiving happened back in October, but when in Rome… Besides, is there ever a thing as too much Turkey?

Nibbler is so cute!! I’m madly in love with that colourway for your sock, by the way. Gorgeous!

Yes, I love the sock colorway. Better luck this time!
