It’s Beautiful!
I am sitting here, at my new job, typing on my laptop. I am wearing jeans and have my iPod playing Ladytron. Life is beautiful.
Speaking of beautiful, I really love how my second hank of handspun came out. It’s a nice, squishy, sporty weight yarn. This time around the plying was much easier and I actually enjoyed the excitement of seeing which two colours were going to match up next.
I ROCKED the wheel. I can’t believe it actually came out nice! It’s just under 200 yards. Now I just need to get more fibre to spin up. Although, I have such little time in the evening by the time I get home and eat that it’s best the spinning be kept to the weekends. Maybe Sunday might be a good day for it?
I have been adding yarn to my stash like a maniac. Someone needs to stop me. Anyone? Hello?
Jaegar Zephyr-spun wool/silk in a DK weight to make Sticks and Tones’ version of Molly Ringwald. How hot is that, right? I just couldn’t resist.
I also bought some Mister Joe yarn because… well, because it was there. Stop me. Please.
And the last thing to show you is already on the needles.
It’s the Razor Shell Cami. I am using yarn that didn’t even have a chance to get to the stash. Elann Esprit, which is a cotton elastic blend. I chose this yarn after seeing Knits and Pieces make a super cute one. This yarn is great to use and it’s really going to help me get a fitted tank. I tend to have to do extreme amounts of shaping because of my rack. It’s either that or look like I am wearing a sack. But this yarn, it’s going to take care of all of that for me.
It’s a link crazy kinda day today isn’t it?
I’ve also done a bit more knitting on my Wrap with Sleeves.
It’s funny, all of these pictures were taken at the same time this morning and they all have completely different colour in them. Huh. Maybe I shouldn’t try to play around with my white balance at 6:45 in the morning.
