More

More of everything, really. More purchases, more dying, and more spinning will happen this weekend.

I think I mentioned something a couple entries ago about needing some custom dyed yarn. Well, it came!

Stash Yarn - Hello Yarn "Knit Freak"

It is so perfect for what I needed it for that I can’t stand it. If you are ever looking for particular colours but can’t find just the thing, talk to Adrian. She is just amazing.

More proof of her greatness:

Stash Yarn - Hello Yarn "Worry Doll"

Her shop customers are INSANE lately, I almost didn’t get this! When she tells people there will be an update at 2:00 her shelves will be bare by 2:15. I can’t blame them, her colour choices are like eye-cocaine.

I also bought Habu Textile’s Shippo Scarf kit. I purchased two of them because I wasn’t sure how long the scarf in the pictures was. I can always gift a kit or a finished scarf if it turns out two was too much (yeah, right!). No pictures of it on the blog because this entry is already going to be picture-tastic, but you can always visit my flickr.

Some more additions to the fibre stash came in the mail as well. Here are some Spritely Goods batts. They almost look too beautiful to spin. I might wait on these a bit because they are a blended fibre and I don’t really have a lot of experience yet.

Spritely Goods

See why I don’t want to ruin it? It’s nice to just look at and pet in it’s current state. Maybe I should just use them for yarn decoration. All of my non-fibre friends think I am insane anyways, might as well go ahead and prove it.

Here is the dying for the day. Two different colourways.

I really like the first, but am not fully sold on the Smokey Rainbow colour. Hopefully I will like it as I spin it.

Alright, I need to go and eat now before I just pass out at the keyboard. I can’t believe how hungry I am. Must be all the sheep pheromones in my house lately. Heh.

And please, if I even start THINKING about buying more yarn or fibre, STOP ME. Call my husband, the police, the insane asylum, anything to save me from burying myself in sheep hair. This is just getting ridiculous.

Ooooh - I love the “diving” colorway! And you’re hardly insane - I have so many projects on needles, it’s not even funny, and yet I still bought more yarn this week (I have a weakness for Rowan, what can I say?)
