So Close
I am so almost done the cami. It’s close. Very close.
Even closer than this picture shows because I took this right after work and then proceeded to spend the evening knitting on it. I have only the straps to do. Soooooo excited. I have a wedding to go to this weekend and I might even wear this! How perfect would that be?
I have also cast on for another pair of socks. I know, I know. I have the Tongue River Socks that I am knitting for the Topsfield Fair, but I needed a travel project. Two huge cakes of yarn is not exactly subway friendly. So, Jaywalkers it is. I have a cool Regia yarn, and I have made a few edits. I changed the ribbing to a picot and after the edging, which was cast on with the smaller number of stitches, I knit a pattern round without the decreases. This got me to the larger version of the sock, which I think is needed because this pattern stitch really shrinks in.
Fun!
There was also a successful (for me) yarn swap on the Monday Knit Night. Check out the loots, some of it bought, some of it FREE.
Hello Yarn Fat Sock, bought of course. BIG FAT HANK. It’s squishy and I love it.
Enough Lamb’s Pride for a sweater. Bought this for a very nominal fee. I am really loving the rustic natural yarns lately. Must be the winter coming on. Now that the nights are getting cooler (or at least the last couple nights have been), I am craving very sheepy things to knit with.
Sock stuff! It was free.
And weird yarn that is acrylic, but called “pineapple”. It was free (which is most likely the only reason I snagged it) and may become a mesh market bag of some sort in the future. With all the knitting plans I have, most likely the distant future. Okay, okay, very distant future. FINE, I’ll be honest. It’s much more likely that I will never knit anything from this, ever, and it will languish in my stash for years. Three to four years from now I will look at it and wonder where the hell it came from and what the fuck I ever thought I was going to do with it. I will then give it away or throw it out.
Although, it still may become a market bag one day.

Yay Razor Cami! It’s looking great. Of course I have cast mine on and left it to languish in the corner for a month. So I will live vicariously through yours.

Can’t wait to see the finished cami at knit night! I made socks with the same regia and love them! They’ll look great in jaywalkers.

Heh. I didn’t know you snagged the crazy Pineapple yarn. Nice score!
