The Great Stash Cataloguing

It has been an amazing week. Mostly because of the last two days in particular. I have sat down and really, honestly, truly, updated my Ravelry.

I had to own up to my stupid Granny Square Blanket that I have had in my WIP bag for YEARS. YEARS. I hate it so bad, and want to just burn it until the acrylic yarn all melts together and resembles a charred pile of plastic dog turds. But I owned up to it, and it’s on there under my projects. Bear witness to my shame:

As a side note, I noticed that all of my projects right now are grey or pink in nature. This does not surprise me, and wouldn’t surprise anyone who has actually seen my wardrobe. I am trying to branch out into greens and blues, we’ll see how that goes.

Another thing I had to own up to is my stash. It’s sickening. I have 103 things stashed. 103!!!! I’m sorry, but why have my friends not had an intervention yet? Why do they still go yarn shopping with me? Clearly, I do not need any more yarn. And yet, I still shop, I still buy. I am actually in the process of getting some of Adrian’s lovely hand dyed yarn for a baby project (although, I really just don’t have the right yarn in my stash - I swear!). Obviously I am a desperate woman in need of help.

To help my storage bins out (poor guys were bursting at the seams) I have started a new project. The “Wicked” sweater from Zephyr Style. They have some really cute stuff! I am liking the sweater so far, although I think the mindless stockinette is going to get to me at some point. For now it’s me and a happy sweater, zipping along to the sleeve and body separation.

I am off to go knit some more and think of some excuses as to why I have so much yarn literally hidden under my bed. Help.
