The Mascot
There are going to be those days (or even a stretch of several days) where I don’t have much blog fodder. As it turns out, my knitting group that meets every Wednesday took this week off due to other obligations and I have been busy trying to finish up a book club book so I don’t seem like a slacker at the meeting next Friday.
So where does that leave my knitting? Apart from starting another sleeve on the Cherie sweater, and casting on for a nice pair of grey cabled socks (not really worth a picture, I have barely finished one simple repeat), my knitting has been left at the wayside while I putter around doing other things that are less fun.
When other bloggers don’t have much in the way of knitting to report, they take a picture of their cats, dogs, or even rabbits. Unfortunately, I have none of those being an apartment dweller who is at the mercy of her landlords to let her have a pet. However, I have something. His name is Nibbler, and he can be the blog mascot in lieu of cats, dogs, and rabbits (although, if you catch him at the right angle he can resemble a rabbit). He is a dwarf hamster, is very little and sweet and enjoys chewing things. Please welcome my little Nibbler as the blog mascot.
He asked me to tell you that he likes sleeping, apples, seedy balls, dust baths, dried bananas, and his runny wheel.

Welcome back! And Hello there Nibbler! I am so excited! I see you have a pattern for thrummed mittens. I have been looking for one. Oh and your lace stole is beautiful. I wish you luck in finding an edging.
