The Weekend Wrecked Me

I had wayyyyy too much fun on Saturday night. Since then I have found it hard to sit up, let alone be active. Today is considerably better, but I still feel like my age is obvious when I get a hangover. I rarely drink enough to get drunk, let alone actually feel it the next day. Booo.

At least knitting can be done while sitting on the couch and trying to convince yourself that the living room really isn’t spinning like a merry-go-round. I have made a bit of progress on the cabled socks, but it’s travel knitting so it’s nothing spectacular. FYI: It was late at night when I took these pics, excuse the crap quality.

And the Cherie sweater is finally joined! I was hoping to accomplish more than I did this weekend, but considering my state I am still quite chuffed I got as far as I did.

I also got to spend some time with a friend who is expecting a baby! So it’s baby knit time. Here is a little hat out of Muench Yarn’s “Big Baby”.

It will have pom-poms, and the strap will be attached with a button. Maybe. I don’t actually know if that would be annoying, or if a tie strap would be more annoying. I guess safety is an issue as well. What is the best option for a new-born winter baby hat? She definitely liked the idea of being able to tie it under the chin. Anyone with some experience on this, please weigh in!

I need to go and drink more fluids now.
