What My Socks Are In
I had a nice, relaxing, mellow weekend where knitting was accomplished. I finished the first sleeve on the “Cherie” sweater, and started on the second. I think I am about halfway finished. When I actually join these sleeves to the body, there will be incessant knitting until it is DONE.
There are two other sweaters in the WIP bag I would love to finish by the end of May, but a friend is having a baby and I did want to get something knitted up for that as well. Here’s hoping there are more relaxing weekends in my future.
For travel knitting, I got enough done on the grey cabled socks to warrant a picture. They are a replica of a pattern I worked up for my Memere at Christmas. I really loved how they came out and as I forgot to take pictures of the pair I sent her, I had to make my own pair, didn’t I?
Notice the corner of a little pouch in the picture. This is a gorgeous pouch that my friend Erin made for me. It’s the perfect size for two balls of sock yarn and a set of dpn’s. Now my keys will never get tangled with my knitting again! Huzzah! It also helps that it’s SUPER CUTE!
