Wicked Progresses and I Lose Interest

I have been knitting diligently along on wicked, and I did frog and re-knit the border. It’s hard to focus on a project when it lets you down. It’s especially hard when you have massive bouts of knitting ADD and ditch out just when the going gets tougher.

Shawl with Sleeves

Yes, I cast on for a new project. It’s a wrap with sleeves pattern from Rebecca. I know, I have socks I want done and this sweater that is totally pissing me off, and here I start on not just a project, but a project with ENDLESS FISHERMANS RIB. I have no excuse for myself. None.

As for the sweater, I was hoping to have it done as of two days ago, but I got into a jewelry making binge. Heh. I have Craft ADD, not just knitting ADD. Hopefully it will be finished up at some point this weekend, but I have a BBQ to go to and I need to update my shop at some point as well. Anyways, here is the new border:

Wicked Sweater

I decided to go with some of the same cables as the collar and what will be on the sleeves. Why mess with a good thing? Thinking back on the floopy-ness of my seed-stitch border in comparison with others, it might be because I’m making the sweater in Knit Picks Main Line, which is mostly cotton. Not really like wool in the springy department.

And here is how far I am on one of the sleeves (I added shaping because I hate droopy sleeves all over my innanets keyboards):

Wicked Sweater

I am feeling positive about it being done this weekend, and POSSIBLY TONIGHT. There, I just jinxed myself. Well, we’ll see!
