You’ll need:
Felt balls, sewing needle, sewing thread.
The number of felt balls depends on the shape you choose to make the trivet in and how big you want it to be. You can buy felt balls in Tiger stores or at Søstrene Grene. Or you can needle felt them yourself from wool ;o)
Here’s how you do it.
The balls are sewn together to form rings that can lie on top of each other. Sew them together by hand and poke through the center of the balls. Then sew the rings together to form the trivet.
You can also choose to make the trivet square, triangular or whatever you like.
Remember to staple the sewing thread in an invisible place – keep staples between the balls or leave a backing.
