Here you get the recipe for an “old case” – it dates back to the time when this site was called “retvrang.dk”. It’s from my early days as a recipe designer. But nevertheless, it has been allowed to have a place on this site. It’s crocheted with kauni yarn, which creates the color change itself. The neck is crocheted in ribbing – and there is a link to how to crochet ribbing. This beautiful cape is crocheted with double picot stitches. It is crocheted with 1 ball of kauni yarn and is a practical, beautiful, wearable shoulder warmer in cold weather. If you crochet it with other yarns, it can easily be worn on a summer day with a top underneath too.
It is relatively simple to crochet. It’s airy – and yet still snug around the shoulder. It’s more practical than a shawl – it doesn’t need to be tied or held in place – it just sits there!
