Knitted sweater for kids – Recipe – salt and pepper
$5.79
Salt and pepper sweater. Well-fitting and ultra soft sweater for kids – size 1 – 6 years. Knitted in the softest Anina yarn from Filcolana (100% superwash wool). Yarn alternatives could be Arwetta from Filcolana (80% wool, 20% nylon). The sweater is knitted with 2 strands of yarn at the same time – this gives the mottled effect (hence the name “Salt and Pepper”). The colors can be mixed and matched to create many cute, fun, neutral but also colorful combinations. The sweater has raglan sleeves and is worked from the neck down – and it has a minimum of assembly. The sweater has edges of stockinette and double edges that are sewn up on the inside of the sweater.
Size selection: Measure the child you are knitting for according to the measurements in the chart. There are differences between children and sizes – and you can’t always go by age.
As a little finesse, you can embroider your name on the inside of the neckline with chain stitch. Make sure it is not visible from the outside.

Knit body
Knit the body of the sweater in the chosen pattern. This can be stockinette, rib or a more complex pattern, depending on your experience and preference.
Knit the sleeves
When the body is finished, you need to knit the sleeves. These are usually knitted separately and then sewn onto the body. Make sure the sleeve length fits your child.
Mounting
Once all pieces are knitted, assemble the sweater by sewing the sleeves to the body. Make sure to use an invisible seam for a professional finish.
