Metal can container, recipe

$0.00

Metal can container.

A cute container that can be used for a little bit of everything – in this case crochet hooks. It also looks great on the shelf.

The container is made from a metal can that used to contain peeled tomatoes – it has also been freshened up a bit with a different “label” on the outside.

Metal can container

You’ll need:

Metal can – such as this one from peeled tomatoes.

Yarn (with absorbency – not too synthetic). Cotton yarn or paper yarn is fine for this purpose.

Paverpol glue (available in various hobby shops.

Here’s how you do it:

Cut off the yarn you want to use for the purpose. Make a small ball of yarn out of it. (I used 2 different colors – see picture)

Dip it in paverpol glue (mixed with water – ratio 1/2 glue to water).

Maybe you can also use ordinary white school glue mixed with water….it depends on a test – I haven’t tried that yet.

Make sure the yarn is soaked – leave it in the mixture for a while.

Then wrap the yarn around the container and press the end firmly at the end. Leave it to dry.

Then you have a very nice container for various purposes. And even reused your cans.
