Paper bracelets

These cute bracelets are easy to make. And if you have any leftover wrapping paper, don’t throw it away. Get inspired and see more here.

Can be made in all colors and paper types – old books, wrapping paper, anders and magazines, weeklies, binders, coffee bags, etc.

You will need

Paper

Scissors

Clear packing tape – approx. 5 cm wide

You can see a great tutorial on the blog recycled flash gold. You’ll be taken to a blog where she shows you how to do things with both pictures and text.

If you make the bracelets out of paper and not coffee bags, cover them with packing tape before folding and braiding. This makes them “indestructible”. Bracelets can be braided in different sizes – but with an even number of links – otherwise the ring cannot be closed.

Description

Below is a general text about paper bracelets. You can get the exact instructions by adding the item to your cart and going through the checkout process (free here).

The paper bracelet in the picture is made from colorful paper strips in different colors that are woven together in a pattern. I can help you make a similar bracelet. Here is a step-by-step guide:

Materials

– Colorful paper strips (you can use colored paper, gift wrap or even reuse magazine or newspaper pages)
– Glue or double-sided tape
– Scissors
– Ruler
– Pencil

Step-by-step instructions

1. cut the paper strips:
– Start by cutting the paper strips into uniform pieces. For example, you can cut them in sizes of 2 cm wide and 20 cm long. How many strips you need depends on the size of your wrist and how wide you want the bracelet to be.

2. Fold the paper strips:
– Fold each paper strip lengthwise to create a narrower strip that is stronger and easier to work with.

3. **Merge the paper strips:
– Start by taking two strips of paper and lay them in a cross shape (like a “+” sign). Use a little glue or double-sided tape to secure them in the center where they intersect.
– Take a new strip of paper and place it under the bottom layer of the cross. Fold this strip over the other two and pull it through to the other side.
– Continue adding strips of paper and weave them into the pattern. Make sure to pull the strips tight so that the bracelet is stable.

4. Finish the bracelet:
– Once you have braided enough strips to reach around your wrist, join the ends together. Use glue or double-sided tape to secure the ends together and ensure the bracelet holds its shape.
– Cut off excess paper strips to create a neat and even edge.

5. Add decorations (optional):
– If you want to add extra decorations, you can use small stickers, beads or glitter glue to make the bracelet more personal and unique.

Now you have a beautiful and unique paper bracelet that you can wear or give as a gift! 🌟 Have fun making your bracelet!
