Knitted hoodie for baby / child size 0-3 years, pattern
$5.79
This cardigan / hoodie for little ones is worked back and forth – from the bottom up. It is knitted in double seed stitch and has ribbed edges on the sleeves and also on the center posts and around the edge of the hood. The buttons at the front can be varied – these are small wooden buttons with hearts. The sleeves are worked by picking up stitches in the edge at the armhole/shoulder and working down towards the wrist. The hood is worked by picking up stitches around the edge at the neck and knitting up – then sewn together at the top.
The ribbed edge of the hood is folded over and sewn on with small stitches on the inside edge.
It is knitted in Merino Extra Fine from Drops. The yarn is soft and can be washed in the washing machine. Knitted on 4 mm needles.
Yarn options: could be Easy Care Classic from Mayflower, Extrafine Merino 120 from Hjertegarn or Daisy from Drops. If you choose to use other yarns, calculate the run length so you have enough yarn. You should also make a swatch to make sure the gauge and size are correct.
