Knitted sweater for mini and junior, pattern
$5.79
The sweater for mini and junior – knitted in sizes 1-8 years. The sweater can be knitted in different yarns suitable for 3.5 and 4 mm needles. The two sweaters in the pictures are knitted in “Merino Extra Fine” from Drops (the green) and Extrafine Merino 120 from Hjertegarn (the gray). Both yarns are soft and can be washed in the washing machine.
A motif is embroidered on the stomach of both of them with a stitch motif. I used some leftover yarn that I already had. If you don’t have any leftover yarn, you’ll need to buy a skein of yarn in the desired color – but you might have some in your stash. You can make the embroidery any way you want – I’ve given you two suggestions here – but you can easily change it and find inspiration online.
The sweater is knitted top down on circular needles. You can knit the sleeves using the magic loop technique or double pointed needles – there is a minimum of assembly on the sweater. The neck edge is “knitted double” and knitted together at the edge – you can also choose to sew the neck edge. I just think it’s a bit more elastic and easier to get over the head if you knit the edge together. The sweater is raised at the neck with the German short rows method
