The poncho is made of kauni yarn, which changes color itself. Kauni yarn is available in many color variants. The yarn is in large skeins with a long running length. The running length may vary slightly, but 2-3 large skeins are enough.
When the domino squares are knitted on the front and back piece, it is knitted together by garter stitch on the shoulders and also garter stitch edge in the neck. You can choose to decorate with a crocheted bow – or leave it as it is. You need to knit 21 squares on both the front and back pieces – so a total of 42 squares. This can be increased if you want the poncho larger. This poncho fits size (M) L (XL). You can make the poncho bigger/longer by adding more squares at the bottom if you wish.
The poncho is worked from the bottom up

Yarn: 3 skeins of kauni yarn (here color EQ is used). I myself have only used 2 skeins of kauni yarn of 150 grams……… But I’ve had customers who have knitted the poncho who have used more than 2. It depends on the gauge and whether it is observed exactly – so I can recommend you to buy 3 skeins of yarn, so you are sure you have enough.
If you want the neckline like on the brown version, then it requires an extra color, which you either buy – or if you have a leftover yarn in your stash, then it can also be used. Alternatively, you could knit the neckline in stockinette stitch instead of garter stitch – but in a single color.
Sticks: Knitting needles no. 3-4 mm. Running length 150 grams / 600 meters
Knitting tension: 23 stitches = 10 cm. Observe the gauge and make a gauge swatch.
